The Sunnyvale Town Council passed a resolution expressing support for and urging the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDoT) to approve Route 2 for the development and construction of the "East Branch" of SH190.  The resolution also requests that additional design elements and engineering consideration be given for the portion of SH190 that will lie within the Sunnyvale town limits and extra-territorial jusrisdiction of the town. Additionally, the resolution request that TxDoT continue discussions with the Town on entrance/exit options for the Suunyvale portion of SH190 other than an exit for US80 access.  The town of Sunnyvale has the expectation that the design feautres noted in this resolution, and others not yet discussed, will be incorporated into the final design at no cost to the Town.  This is based on Sunnyvale's long-standing opinion that this highway will not provide lasting value to our community, and will, with great certainty, disrupt and forever alter Sunnyval'es unique, rural character. Special design features requested by the Town are intended to minimize the impact of the highway.
