In 2014, a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare Corporation acquired a majority interest in Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale, a 70-bed hospital open since 2009. A comprehensive community hospital with services that include a cardiovascular center, spine program, obstetrics program and neonatal intensive care unit, surgical weight loss program and an emergency department .

Then earlier this year Tenet Healthcare Corporation completed a joint venture with Baylor Scott & White Health to own Texas Regional Medical Center at Sunnyvale and will ultimately transition to Baylor Scott & White Health branding.
